Reporting to the Registrar the incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and secretarial duties for the Registrar in accordance with established office standards and procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Qualification, Skills and Knowledge)
• Diploma/Certificate in Secretarial Studies
• Three (3) CXC/GCE subjects including English Language
• Five (5) years’ secretarial/junior administration experience.
• Ability to research and ‘mine’ for information/data
• Excellent interpersonal, human relations and communication skills;
• Good planning, time management, organizational, initiative and innovative skills
• Sound knowledge of Computer Applications e.g., Excel, MS Word, , any other graphic programme
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Design and prepare notices and bulletins to students
2. Attend meetings for full-College Board and at least four (4) Sub-Committees;
3. Draft responses to correspondence on instructions;
4. Co-ordinate and monitor administrative element in respect to a number of Registry matters/functions, e.g., preparation of ID cards for students; preparation of claims/enrollment/termination on student health scheme and accident insurance scheme, etc.
5. Research information to compile the annual department reports, Boards (Academic/Full/Executive) reports, annual budget, etc.
6. Assist with the management and/or provide administrative support for special projects/events for example, Graduation, Open Day, General Assembly; Orientation and Workshops;
7. Review of all Registry documents ensuring up to date information consistent with current policies;
Basic Salary (Range) - $828,588 - $984,930 per annum
