We are currently seeking persons for the position of Business Development Officer Island wide.

 

 Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidates will be required to:

 

 

 

  • Market the company's products and services

 

 

 

 

 

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and provide value-added service.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Meet and exceed established sales goals.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Identify and acquire new business relationships and opportunities to achieve sales targets and maximize profit.  Expand and retain existing customer and intermediary relationships.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Make presentations to existing and potential customers and intermediaries where required.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Manage renewals processing for existing corporate customers and new business processing for new corporate customers.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Evaluate customers’ needs and prepare and present solution-based proposals to meet these needs.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Keep abreast of government and private tenders going to market.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Perform periodic activity and prospect analysis reporting.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Provide guidance to business unit managers on preparing proposals for large customers and intermediaries, as necessary.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Perform internal and external product knowledge training where necessary.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Produce required team reports in a timely and accurate manner.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

 

 

  • Tertiary-level education would be an asset but is not required.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Special Knowledge and Competence:

 

 

  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills

 

 

 

 

 

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

 

 

 

 

 

  • Ability to multitask.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills

 

 

 

 

 

  • Previous sales training and experience would be an asset; however, training will be provided.

 

 

 

 

 

  • Must have valid Driver’s Licence and own a reliable motor vehicle.
