Jamaica Urban Transit Company Limited seeks to recruit a Maintenance Foreman.

Minimum qualifications: 

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification

Five (5) years experience in a similar or related job

The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for assisting in ensuring that the depot meets the daily fleet availability requirements for vehicles that are clean and in good operating condition. The incumbent is also responsible for assisting in maintaining depot facilities and equipment to provide employees with a clean and safe working environment.

The successful candidate should also possess:

• Sound knowledge of bus automotive technology and body and tyre repair techniques
• Sound knowledge of operations management and work floor management
• Sound knowledge of safety practices and procedures for facilities, equipment and buses
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to lead and motivate staff
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Good analytical skills and sound judgement
• Good time management skills

Salary range $2.2 million to $2.9 million per annum
