Qualified individuals are invited to submit applications for the position of Human Resources Administrative Assistant at the Jamaica Business Development Corporation. This individual is responsible for managing the manual records management system and the electronic Human Resource Management and Information System, and for giving administrative support to the core functions of HR Department.
The essential duties to be performed include:
1. Providing administrative support to recruitment, training, employee engagement, and other HR functions to the department and to the Manager.
2. Processing, copying and distributing employee benefits’ documents.
3. Computing employee leave applications and assisting in the monitoring of the leave tracking system.
4. Managing the HRMIS system.
5. Maintaining an efficient record management system in keeping with established guidelines.
6. Managing the time and attendance log on a daily basis for all departments.
7. Assisting with HR-related research and data entry activities to contribute to the strategic plans of the department.
8. Sorting and dispatching mails and correspondences in a timely manner.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent
• Five (5) CXC/CSEC subjects including English Language and Mathematics or Accounts
• Training in records management, administrative studies and Microsoft Office applications.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar capacity
