We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to be a part of a fast growing company located in Clarendon.

Job Brief:

  • Accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts to ensure their accuracy 
  • The creation of financial transactions which includes, posting information to accounting journals from source documents such as invoices to customers, cash receipts and supplier invoices.
  • Assembling information for external auditors for the annual audit, and provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
  • Complete tax forms and statutory deductions 
  • Process receivables/payables and handle payroll in a timely manner
  • Salary $1.4 million per annum; commensurate with qualifications and experience  

Qualifications:

  •  Experience of bookkeeping or equivalent business experience
  • Solid data entry skills (debit or credit)
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles  
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Understanding of internal controls
  • Proficient MS Office skills, primarily MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • A Bachelor's degree majoring in Accounts, Business, Finance or ACCA 1 and 2 would be an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and judgement skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy required.

Must have strong customer service, negotiation and interpersonal skills
